Dragon Reference Sheet (Read the hints in Italic then replace them with your own information and erase any leftover tips like this one)

Name: What’s your dragon species called?

Class: Sharp, Strike, Tidal, Stoker, Tracker, Mystery or Boulder

Trainable? Yes or No (put Yes if it’s an Open species or No if it’s Private and only you can create them)
Tip: Any tips for people who encounter this dragon?
Danger Level: Not dangerous, a bit dangerous or extremely dangerous

Stats (Max stat is 30 for the average dragon; larger dragons like the Red Death and Bewilderbeasts can have stats that max at 60; I used the Dragonpedia to create my stats based on existing dragons: www.howtotrainyourdragon.com/e… )
Attack: This corresponds to their attack with other body parts aside from their mouth and fire, like claws and tail or even spines.
Speed: How fast (or slow) are they?
Armor: How well protected is their body?
Firepower: How strong are their shots?
Shot Limit: What’s their shot limit?
Venom: Do they have venom or acid? If so, how damaging is it? If not, put 0.
Jaw Strength: How strong is their bite force?
Stealth: How sneaky are they? The larger the dragon, the more visible it is. Unless, of course, it has the ability to camouflage itself like a Changewing but try to come up with your own unique abilities instead of copying existing species!

Description: What’s your dragon like? For example, here’s the description for my species: Hellkites are the only dragons known to use multiple types of fire.

Habitat: Where do they live? It can be anywhere: caves, deserts, forests, mountains, oceans! Try to keep it realistic; for example, if it’s a Tidal class dragon it should live in or near the water.

Anatomy: Describe your dragon’s physical appearance, preferably with a picture!
Dimorphism: Are there any notable differences between the males and females of your species?
Measurements
Length:
Height:
Width:
Weight:
Wingspan:
Coloration: What colors do they usually display? What are their markings like? Are there any variations?

Senses (I’m going to leave the descriptions I put for my dragons so you have a basic idea of what to put)
Hearing: Small ear slits placed directly behind the eyes. They can hear frequencies up to 5x higher than Humans.
Sight: Large eyes on the sides of the head that protrude slightly from the skull. They have blindspots directly in front and behind their bodies. Pupils can adjust to high and low amounts of light so they can see well almost anywhere. They have thermovision which means they see basic shapes and colors based on heat.
Smell: They have 2 small nostrils on top of their heads that allow them to breathe even when most of their bodies are submerged in lava.
Taste: They lack taste buds but prefer certain fish and birds over others; although they are still opportunistic feeders and will not be picky when food is scarce.
Touch: They are quite tactile. Mothers have even been seen "cradling" their offspring and bonded couples like to cuddle.

Communication: What sounds do they make? My dragons can groan, growl, roar, squawk, and whine.

Behavior: Are they usually elusive, aggressive, docile, social, etc.? Does each dragon have its own unique personality?

Sleeping: When do they sleep? Are they diurnal (active during the day), crepuscular (active at dawn and dusk) or nocturnal (active at night)? Are they light or heavy sleepers?
Feeding: Carnivore, herbivore, insectivore  or omnivore (both carnivore and herbivore)
Diet: What do they eat?
Consumption: How much do they eat? Can they go a certain amount of time without feeding?

Fire Type: Look at the Dragonpedia for ideas.

Abilities: Look at the Dragonpedia for ideas.

Weaknesses: All dragons are afraid of something; typically it’s dragon nip and eels!

Hierarchy: Is their society Matriarchal, Patriarchal, both or none? For example, Speed Stingers have a society that’s both Matriarchal and Patriarchal because they follow the biggest member of the group, whether it’s a male or a female, as long as he/she has the distinct red markings.
Migratory: Do they migrate at a certain time of the year? Where do they go? Or do they only leave during breeding season?
Territorial: Yes or No? Would they protect their territory to the death or would they flee?

Companionship: Do parents stay together and mate for the rest of their lives or do they only become a couple temporarily and part ways after breeding?
Offspring: How many eggs are usually seen per clutch (a group of reptile babies)?

Development (Like I did with Stats, I’m going to leave the descriptions for my dragons here so you can base yours off of them)
Baby: Baby Hellkites are called Hatchlings. They are not born blind but are a bit defenseless so they depend on their parents for food and protection. They're about 1' 1/2" tall and love to explore. They have a small set of wings but can't fly yet.
Juvenile: After a little while, baby Hellkites enter adolescence. At this point, the mother teaches them to fly then the father teaches them to hunt. Their armor-like scales also begin to grow and they become a bit more independent. Almost all adolescent Hellkites enjoy their newfound sense of freedom and will often be seen performing acrobatic moves in the sky.
Adult: When a Hellkite matures, it is then recognized as an adult and can now breed. Most Hellkites stay where they were born but some choose to leave and either find a new home or start a pack of their own. Adult Hellkites also wield fully grown claws that they don't hesitate to use in dire situations.

Other: (Are there any extra facts about your dragons that you’d like to share? I left the ones for my dragons so you can use them to help you come up with some of your own)
1. Females adjust the temperature of their bodies when sitting on their eggs in order to determine what gender their babies will be, depending on the group's needs. If the pack is lacking males, the mother will breathe fire around the nest to heat the eggs up. If females are needed, she'll stay off them for a while until they turn pale.
2. Hellkites have 66 sharp teeth that grow back if they fall out. Each top tooth fits into a socket in the lower jaw while the bottom teeth stick out.
3. Hellkites have fire resistant scales and can swim in lava. They like to bathe in it at least once a day to recharge their energy.
4. Hellkites sleep with their eyes open but the pupils don't react to any nearby movement until sound wakes them.
5. Hellkites use their powerful jaws to crush prey before swallowing it whole.
6. Hellkites continue to grow steadily throughout their lives.
7. Hellkites shed their plates every few months.

Come join the HTTYD Wagon that OceanicNebula and starsweep started here: oceanicnebula.deviantart.com/j…

I will be designing 2-3 new Dragons and 2 Viking characters that represent me and my boyfriend~

This is a blank version of my reference sheet template and it's available for everyone to use as a guideline when creating their own unique species :3

If you use this, remember to give credit somewhere and send me the link so I can read it!
